About Choong
Hi, I’m Jun Rong, a dedicated guitar teacher committed to helping students achieve their musical goals. I have over 12 years of guitar-playing experience, 7 years of teaching experience, and hold a Grade 8 Trinity Rock & Pop certification. I’ve performed at multiple university events and live gigs, which helps me bring real-world insight and professionalism into every lesson. I’ve taught more than 70 students across a wide range of ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each individual. Students often describe my lessons as supportive, motivating, and well-structured, highlighting my focus on building confidence and strong foundations. Whether you’re starting your first chords or refining advanced techniques, I combine structured guidance, personalized feedback, and genuine support to help you reach your goals and enjoy your musical journey.

Lessons are structured yet flexible, so we can adapt to your pace and interests while ensuring steady progress. Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes, and I provide clear practice plans and exercises tailored to each student. I emphasize a supportive, encouraging, and fun learning environment, helping students build confidence, enjoy the process, and stay motivated. Whether you’re a beginner picking up the guitar for the first time or an advanced player refining techniques, I’m here to guide you every step of the way and make your musical journey engaging and rewarding.
