About Kristiana
I am a math teacher with 10 years if teaching experience. I am a licensed math teacher. I graduated as cum laude. I have masters degree in University of the Philippines. I took master of arts in Mathematics. I have more than 5 years tutoring math. I teach math in a way that my students or tutees will understand. I applied the topic in a real life situation. My goal is to get my student or tutee an A plus in his/her math subject. I used techniques that they can easily understand.

My approach as a math tutor is centered on helping students build a deep understanding of mathematical concepts while developing confidence in their problem-solving abilities. I believe that every student can succeed in mathematics when lessons are tailored to their individual learning needs and presented in a clear, structured manner. During lessons, I first assess the student's current level of understanding and identify any learning gaps. I then break complex concepts into smaller, manageable steps, using examples, visual aids, and guided questioning to help students understand the reasoning behind each solution. Rather than encouraging memorization alone, I focus on developing critical thinking skills and teaching effective problem-solving strategies that students can apply independently.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previously learned concepts to reinforce understanding and address any questions. I then introduce new topics through clear explanations and worked examples before guiding students through practice problems. As the lesson progresses, students are encouraged to solve problems independently while I provide support and feedback as needed. I also incorporate questions of varying difficulty levels to challenge students appropriately and ensure they fully grasp the material. At the end of each lesson, I summarize the key concepts and assess understanding to identify areas that may need further reinforcement.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my commitment to creating structured, engaging, and personalized learning experiences. I design lessons and practice materials that match each student's ability level and learning style, ensuring that they are both challenged and supported. My focus on conceptual understanding, attention to detail, and patient teaching style help students gain not only better grades but also greater confidence in their mathematical abilities. My goal is to empower students to become independent learners who can approach mathematical problems with logical thinking and confidence.
