About Tarini

I love English, and I hope to inspire this passion in the students I tutor as well. I teach in a way that is accessible and motivational, and I look forward to helping your child reach their full potential!

I achieved an ATAR of 98.95, with a score of 48 in English Extension 2, 46 in English Extension 1 and 92 in English Advanced.

I have been a long-time debater and public speaker. Because of this experience, I am a confident and clear teacher who will ensure your child understands each lesson.

My hobbies include playing the piano, reading books, watching tv shows, writing poetry and doing escape rooms.

I also teach Mathematics and Piano lessons.

About the lesson

I believe in creating a fun learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves through their writing! I foster creativity and motivation in my students, with tailor-made lessons that align with their school's and the Department of Education's syllabus, their personal level and interests. I also teach exam strategy so that students can reach their full potential on the day.

Lessons are one hour each, though this is flexible depending on the child.

I have experience as a tutor, teaching year 6 students Writing, Reading, Mathematics, and Thinking Skills/General Ability for the selective high school placement test. My students saw the greatest improvement in English due to my helpful feedback and contagious passion for the subject.

As a student who completed English Extension 2 for the HSC with a high internal rank, I have extensive experience with writing and analysing literature of a variety of forms, such as prose fiction, poetry and drama.

My lessons are for students in grades 7-11 who are looking to improve their English skills. Depending on the student's needs, I am able to help with classwork, or extend their abilities to help prepare them for the HSC through personalised lessons.

She was always a top performing student, and she knows her subjects thoroughly.
