About Katy
Hi! I’m Katy, a graduate biology student with extensive graduate-level coursework in the biological sciences. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Auburn University, where I also served as a Supplemental Instructor for Organic Chemistry, helping college students work through challenging science concepts.
Throughout graduate school, I have taken advanced courses across several areas of biology, giving me a strong foundation that I can adapt to students at different levels. My own academic experiences have also taught me that difficult material becomes much less intimidating when it is explained in a way that works for you.
I’m patient, encouraging, and genuinely enjoy helping students have that moment when something finally clicks. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and leaving each session feeling more confident than when they started!

We’ll work through concepts step-by-step, then use realistic test-style questions to practice applying what you’ve learned. I also want you to understand why an answer is right or wrong, so you can approach new questions with confidence on your own.
