About Francesca
Hello! My name is Francesca, and I am a Biomedical Science graduate currently completing my master’s degree. I grew up in a big family surrounded by children, which naturally shaped my passion for helping young people learn and grow. I also have hands-on experience working with children of all ages, and this has helped me understand how different every student truly is. I was once in the same position as many of you — I struggled with English, felt shy asking questions, and often found school challenging. Because of the support and patience of great teachers, I built my confidence and achieved so much more than I expected. Now, I want to be that same supportive figure for you. I believe every student learns in a unique way, so my teaching style is based on understanding who you are first. I make sure to learn your strengths, your challenges, and the way your mind works. This helps me tailor each lesson so that you really understand what you’re learning, rather than memorising it. In the past, I’ve used a variety of teaching techniques, including: • Breaking down difficult topics into simple, step-by-step explanations • Active learning, where students explain ideas back to me to build confidence • Visual aids like diagrams, examples, and interactive slides • Real-life examples to make lessons more relatable • Regular check-ins to make sure you feel supported and not overwhelmed I also believe that a good learning environment has both support and discipline. I keep my lessons friendly and encouraging, but I also maintain structure, routine, and clear expectations, so you stay focused and see real progress. Most importantly, I want my students to feel comfortable being themselves. I listen, I care, and I always encourage questions — especially when a topic feels hard. My aim is to build a bond with you so you feel confident, motivated, and proud of your achievements. I’m excited to meet my future students and help you become the best version of yourself — academically and personally. Let’s begin this journey together!

I understand what it feels like to struggle—especially with English—and with the help of dedicated teachers, I was able to overcome those barriers. Today, I want to give students the same support and confidence that helped me achieve so much. I strongly believe that every student learns in their own unique way. As a tutor, it is important to understand their mindset, personality, and strengths so I can tailor each lesson to suit them. In the past, I have used a range of teaching techniques such as breaking topics into simple steps, using visuals, real-life examples, quick assessments, spaced repetition, and interactive questioning to make learning easier and more enjoyable. I am someone who listens closely, builds trust, and creates a comfortable environment where students feel confident to ask questions—even when they find a topic challenging. I also maintain a balanced approach to discipline. I believe in setting clear expectations, creating structure, and encouraging good study habits while still being patient, respectful, and supportive. This helps students stay focused, motivated, and responsible, which ultimately leads to better results and personal growth.
