About Liberty
I’m a Biomedical Sciences graduate from the University of Aberdeen, specialising in Physiology, and I’m currently studying an MSc in Pain Neurosciences at the University of Oxford.
I’ve always enjoyed understanding how the body works and I want to help students develop that same understanding and confidence in Biology. Having recently gone through my own National 5, Higher, Advanced Higher and university studies, I understand how overwhelming difficult topics and exam preparation can feel.
I want my lessons to be a supportive space where students can ask questions, work through areas they find difficult and build confidence in their abilities. I also enjoy helping students think about their next steps, whether that means applying to university or exploring careers in biomedical and life sciences.

I believe Biology is much easier to understand when you focus on why things happen, rather than simply memorising facts. I like to break difficult topics down into smaller parts, explain them clearly and then work through questions together to make sure the concepts are understood.
I adapt my teaching to each student, whether they need help building their understanding from the basics, preparing for exams or becoming more confident with exam questions. I also encourage students to ask questions and explain ideas in their own words, as this helps identify where they need more support.
I can also offer guidance on university applications, career progression and pathways into biomedical or related life sciences.
