About Izzah
I’m a Civil Engineering graduate and professional design engineer based in Edinburgh, and I’m here to make maths and physics not just understandable — but exciting. With years of rigorous academic training and real-world engineering experience, I know exactly how to break down tough concepts into clear, simple steps that actually stick. I want to teach because I know the difference a great tutor can make. Maths and physics don’t have to be intimidating — with the right approach, they can open doors to new opportunities, top exam results, and future careers. My mission is to inspire confidence, spark curiosity, and help every student I work with achieve their absolute best. My lessons focus on making maths and physics clear, engaging, and approachable. I break down complex ideas into simple, logical steps, using worked examples and real-life engineering applications to show how the theory connects to practice. Each session is interactive, and I adapt my teaching style to the individual pace and goals of every student. A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes, with a balance of reviewing past material, introducing new concepts, and practising exam-style questions to build both understanding and exam confidence. I am a Civil Engineering graduate and currently working as a design engineer in Edinburgh, bringing both strong academic knowledge and practical industry insight into my teaching. While I am new to formal tutoring, I have extensive experience supporting peers and younger students, helping them to overcome challenges and gain confidence in their studies. My lessons are ideal for secondary school, GCSE, and A level students who want to strengthen their subject knowledge, prepare effectively for exams, and achieve their best possible results.
