Antonin Pinget, France / Switzerland, took his first dance steps at the age of seven in the class of the internationally renowned tap dancer Costel Surbeck. Likewise, he began ballroom and historical dances within the Association of Costumed Feasts of Geneva with several teachers and researchers in dance such as Yvonne Vart from Lyon and Richard Powers from Stanford University USA. Subsequently, he discovered Baroque dance and specialized with Alain Christen, Silvana Baumgartner, Christine Bayle, Marie-Geneviève Massé and Ana Yepes. He also learned contemporary and classical dance with Christine Koenig and Florence Faure.
In 2019, he obtained his professional diploma at Dance Area Jeune Ballet in Geneva where he worked on classical, jazz, modern, Afro and contemporary dance, Pilates, under the aegis of different artists such as Hélène Roux, Yvette Regueiro, Fernanda Diniz, Juan Jimenez Sanchez, Gérald Durand, Gil Carlos Harush, etc.
Antonin Pinget has already performed in many varied projects in Europe: Switzerland, France, Belgium, England, Germany, Austria and Spain. He participated in the Cadences Festival in Arcachon, the Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci or more recently still in the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik for Mérope, the opera just rediscovered by Riccardo Broschi, the brother of the famous Farinelli.
Passionate and inspired by history, literature and cinematography, his design in Art is the search for timeless links between different techniques and styles, such as Baroque dance with the contemporary. Based on these aspirations to merge different universes, he created his own choreography at the Pépinière de chorégraphes, Compagnie Fêtes Galantes by Béatrice Massin in Paris.
Antonin Pinget usually gives lessons at the DanceArea School in the center of Geneva. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, he has given pilates, gym and dance lessons via online video and allows regular monitoring of his students with joy and good humor. With Antonin, come and discover a playful universe of sharing and conviviality! With this course, go back to the origins of today's dances. Baroque dance, 1st and 2nd Empire and Belle-Epoque.
Learn for example: the Menuet, the Contredance or even the Polka and the Waltz. You will appreciate these lively and accessible dances.
Content: This course consists of a first part of warm-up, and exercises to approach the basic technique, movements, and movements in space. The second part focuses on the practice of dances of various styles and formations: alone, as a couple or with others. Rhythmic and musical approach.
