Hello! I’m Labaso, a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English (BSED English) teacher with almost a year of experience teaching English to students from different nationalities.
I believe that learning English should be comfortable, engaging, and encouraging. My goal is to help every student improve their communication skills while building the confidence to express themselves clearly and naturally.
As your tutor, I am patient, approachable, and committed to adapting my lessons to your individual needs and learning level. Whether you want to improve your speaking, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, or everyday communication, I am here to guide you every step of the way.

About My Teaching Approach
I am a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English (BSED English) graduate with almost a year of experience teaching English to learners from different nationalities. My goal as an English tutor is to create a comfortable, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students can improve their communication skills with confidence.
My Teaching Methods and Techniques
I use a student-centered and communicative approach. I encourage students to actively participate rather than simply listen to the lesson. Depending on the learner's needs, I use:
Conversation and question-and-answer activities
Role-playing and real-life situations
Vocabulary and pronunciation exercises
Grammar correction and sentence-building activities
Reading and comprehension exercises
Visual aids and interactive activities
Personalized feedback and encouragement
I also adjust my teaching style according to the student's English level, learning pace, and specific goals.
A Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins with a warm-up conversation to help the student feel comfortable and practice speaking. I then introduce the lesson objective and present the target vocabulary, grammar, or communication skill. After that, we practice through guided activities and real-life examples. The student is then given opportunities to use what they have learned through conversation or other activities.
At the end of the lesson, I provide constructive feedback, correct important errors, review the key points, and give the student a chance to ask questions.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
What sets me apart is my patience, adaptability, and genuine interest in my students' progress. Since I have experience teaching learners from different nationalities, I understand that students have different backgrounds, learning styles, and levels of confidence. I make an effort to adjust my lessons to meet each student's individual needs.
I believe that making mistakes is a natural part of learning a language, so I encourage students to speak without being afraid of making errors. My goal is not only to teach English but also to help students become more confident and effective communicators.
Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, college students, and adult learners who want to improve their English. I can help beginner to intermediate learners develop their speaking, listening, reading, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational skills.
I can also provide lessons for students who want to improve their English for school, work, travel, interviews, or everyday communication. I am happy to adapt lessons for learners who need additional support or prefer a slower and more guided learning pace.
