About Veronica
Hello! I am a recent graduate from Brown University, receiving a bachelors in Philosophy with a focus on Religious Studies. Over the years, I have honed my skills for close-reading and text analysis of both primary and secondary sources. I have developed a reading and writing practice which has only become more rigorous and effective in my last year of college, throughout the writing of my thesis. I graduated from Brown magna cum laude. I too excelled in high school, receiving 5s on all of my AP exams, as well as acceptances to all but one of the universities I applied to. I graduated in the top .4% of my high school class. I hope to pass on some of my advice to both students seeking a higher education and simply an improvement in their reading and writing processes.

Utilizing slow-paced, responsive and negotiation based tutoring techniques, I let the student determine the flow of the session. I excel in assisting students with writing assignments (persuasive essays, literary analyses, expository essays, creative work), as well as college application personal statements and short answer questions. I teach lessons for grades ranging from 6th-12th, so primarily middle and high school. I am also well-versed in the AP English Language and Composition exam as well as the AP English Literature exam. A typical session would be guided by the student and revolve around current assignments or tasks at hand. If additional practice is needed, I have writing prompts and exercises to help the student hone their writing skills.
