About Chaitali

I just graduated from Emory University's Business School. I enjoy writing so much so that I published an article in Milan when I studied abroad. I graduated with a high GPA and would love to teach you what I love.

About the lesson

My teaching method revolves around creating a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to the individual needs of each student. I use a blend of traditional and innovative techniques to foster a love for reading and writing, and to build foundational skills.

1. Assessment and Personalization: I begin by assessing each student's current reading and writing levels, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. This allows me to tailor my lessons to meet their specific needs.
2. Interactive Learning: I incorporate interactive activities such as discussions, games, and multimedia resources to make learning enjoyable and relatable.
3. Goal Setting: Together with the student, we set achievable goals to provide a clear path for progress and motivation.
4. Feedback and Reinforcement: I provide constructive feedback, celebrate successes, and offer strategies for overcoming challenges. Positive reinforcement is key to building confidence and encouraging continued effort.

Typical Lesson Plan:

1. Warm-Up (5-10 minutes): Start with a fun activity or discussion to engage the student and prepare them for the lesson. This could be a quick reading game, a discussion about their favorite book, or a short writing prompt.
2. Review (5-10 minutes): Go over previous lessons to reinforce learning and ensure retention. Address any questions or difficulties the student may have encountered.
3. Main Lesson (20-30 minutes):
- Reading Component: Focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary building, and fluency. Activities may include reading passages, answering questions, and discussing the content.
- Writing Component: Work on writing skills such as grammar, sentence structure, and creative expression. Activities may include writing short essays, stories, or journal entries.
