About Roxana
Initially an animation graduate, I got a commission for a book cover and enjoyed the job so much that I decided to do an illustration degree, and then a postgrad degree too. Almost a decade on since my first job I have had a couple books and anthologies published, and now mostly work from home as a freelancer illustrator.
Having had the privilege to work with various youth and community art initiatives and missing the shared creativity of a studio environment I then turned to tutoring. My goal as an art tutor is to share the joy, excitement, and self discovery that is art making, whatever your preferred materials and topics.
I love fantasy and science fiction (particularly videogames). I am a good cook and hopeful gardener. I look forward to meeting you and drawing some nice pictures together :)

I'm a published illustrator-writer mainly active in the children's books field, but with extensive experience working in several different creative areas and mediums, as well as experience tutoring and working with students of all ages and levels.
I primarily teach digital art and art theory, but I am very happy to help with anything from watercolour landscape paintings to art school portfolio prep.
I am very passionate about creative expression and believe that the process is the most important part of any art based pursuit. I have spent 10+ years in art education and I am excited to pass on the skills I have gained whilst I keep learning myself. My lessons are a fun and relaxed environment. Typically 1-2 hours long, they can be courses into your topics of interest or more informal support sessions, depending on your particular needs. The atmosphere is one of encouragement and excitement as we work together to help you get to where you want to be.
