Hi,

I am a passionate tutor because I know firsthand how transformative the right guidance can be and how it helped me achieve a 98.75 ATAR with a RAW study score of 48 in VCE English.

English was not always a subject I felt confident in, and for a long time I found it difficult to structure ideas clearly and understand how to meet assessment expectations. Through persistence, reflection, and refining my approach, I was able to improve dramatically, and that journey sparked my interest in helping others do the same. Tutoring allows me to combine my love for learning with the satisfaction of seeing students grow in confidence and ability.

I care deeply about my students’ progress and take pride in creating lessons that are engaging, supportive, and purposeful. I make a conscious effort to understand how each student learns, tailoring my teaching style to suit their needs rather than forcing a generic method. Whether it’s breaking down complex ideas, refining expression, or guiding students through exam strategy, I am committed to helping students feel capable and in control of their learning.

What motivates me most is seeing students shift from feeling overwhelmed to feeling confident. Helping students realize their potential, improve their results, and approach English with clarity and assurance is what makes tutoring meaningful to me.

About the lesson

I offer personalised 1-on-1 online tutoring for Unit 3/4 VCE English, focused on helping students improve their writing, analysis, and exam performance in a clear, practical way. Lessons are built on over two years of tutoring experience and are designed to make English feel structured, manageable, and less overwhelming.

Lessons run for 60 minutes at $45 per hour and follow a consistent structure so you always know what you’re working on and how it links to your marks. We usually start by reviewing recent SACs, teacher feedback, or specific areas you’re struggling with. From there, we focus on targeted skills such as breaking down prompts, planning strong and flexible essay structures, developing clear arguments, and improving expression so your writing sounds confident and controlled rather than forced.

Lessons are very hands-on. You’ll practise planning essays, writing paragraphs, or responding to unseen prompts during the session, with guidance as you go. Written work is reviewed in detail, and feedback is clear and specific—so you know exactly what to fix and how to improve it for next time.

My teaching style is practical and exam-focused. You’ll learn how to meet VCAA marking criteria, adapt ideas instead of memorising essays, manage time effectively in SACs and exams, and approach any prompt with confidence.

These lessons are best suited for Unit 3/4 VCE English students who want to improve consistency, boost SAC results, and feel more confident heading into the final exam.
