About Kate
I am a recent Graduate of James Madison University where I studied Mathematics and Statistics. I started tutoring when I was in high school and continued to work with middle schoolers during my time in college. I want all my students to gain the confidence and skills to do well in school!
It is easy to get confused while being taught in a large classroom setting. I want to understand your learning style to make sure you are getting the individualized help you need!

My teaching method involves getting back to the basics and giving students a fresh perspective on subjects that aren't clicking in the classroom. My mission is to provide my students with the tools to pinpoint their areas of struggle and be able to move forward.
I strive to get to know my students strengths and weaknesses and create an individual approach that caters to their learning style. A typical lesson will involve reviewing the foundation of a subject and working up to more in depth problems.
I work with students learning basic math as well as more advanced subjects such as Algebra and Calculus. I strive to give every student the confidence to solve problems independently and understand why the solution makes sense.
