About Beth
After finishing university, I was at a standstill of what I wanted to do with my degree. I knew I no longer wanted to pursue a career as a lawyer but wanted to continue on with the knowledge I had learnt.
I never had an interest to teach but realised it would be a great way to further my own knowledge whilst helping others.
I was always quite a nervous student and disliked doing presentations or talking out loud. Doing tutoring 1 on 1 allows for you to feel comfortable with me and hopefully not nervous a hot speaking and asking questions.

I have many different approaches to learning that work for me.
Mind Maps were my go to for GCSE subjects and I loved being able to have some creativity in there to break up how tiring revision can be.
Throughout university and college, flip cards were the best style for me, it allows question and answers.
I am truthful in that I have no previous experience in delivering lessons, so this will be a learning curve for me too.
I’ve always found it more productive when as a student I had the opportunity to choose what the lesson would be about. I would start with delivery information on the subject through a possible PowerPoint allowing for notes to be taken. Question are the best way to learn, so feel free to ask whenever needed. Quizzes throughout would be beneficial (don’t worry, nothing scary) To help embed the information.
