About Megan

Hi, I’m Megan! Teaching has always been more than just a job for me – it’s something I truly love. I’ve worked as a primary school teacher for several years, and what keeps me passionate is the joy of seeing children grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and feel proud of what they can achieve. I started tutoring because I wanted to offer children more focused, one-on-one support – the kind that sometimes isn’t possible in a busy classroom. Every child learns differently, and I believe that with the right approach, encouragement, and a bit of creativity, every child can succeed and even learn to love learning. I aim to create a calm, friendly space where children feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and be themselves. For me, it’s not just about ticking boxes – it’s about helping each child feel seen, supported, and celebrated for who they are.

About the lesson

Hi! I’m Megan – a fully qualified and experienced primary school teacher offering one-to-one tutoring for children in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Whether your child needs to build confidence, catch up on tricky topics, or stretch and challenge themselves further, I’m here to help with engaging, supportive, and personalised lessons. What My Lessons Include: • Tailored Learning Plans – every session is planned around your child’s individual needs, interests, and goals. • Fun & Interactive Activities – I use games, storytelling, and practical tasks to make learning enjoyable and effective. • Clear Learning Objectives – so children know what they’re working on and can see their own progress. • Ongoing Feedback – for both children and parents, to keep everyone in the loop and celebrate successes. • Confidence-Boosting Support – gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement to help your child believe in themselves. Subjects Covered: • English – including phonics, reading comprehension, spelling, grammar & creative writing • Maths – covering fluency, reasoning and problem-solving • SATs & 11+ preparation • General study skills and homework help Flexible sessions – online or in-person (depending on location) Available after school, evenings and weekends.
