With 5 years of experience and a background in teaching—especially about Arts, Sports and Health, also in English, I’ve worked with learners of different ages, learning styles, and abilities. My teaching style is student-centered, interactive, and adaptable to each learner’s needs. I focus on building strong foundational understanding by breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. I use a mix of visual aids, real-life examples, and guided practice to keep lessons engaging and relevant. I also encourage questions and foster a supportive environment where students feel confident to speak up and learn from mistakes. For subjects that require practice (like languages), I often use spaced repetition and active recall to help improve retention. I also assess learning styles early on—whether a student is more visual, auditory, or kinesthetic—and tailor my lessons accordingly. A standard lesson typically lasts 120 minutes, which allows enough time to explain concepts, work through examples, and address any questions. For younger students or those with shorter attention spans, I may recommend 60-minute sessions to keep focus and energy high. For older or more advanced students, I offer extended sessions when needed, especially for exam preparation or project support. I am a Licensed Professional Teacher in the Philippines and have 5 years of experience in teaching public schools, and I’ve worked as an English tutor for Japanese students in Native Camp company for 1 year, helping students in constructing English sentences. I also have experience working with learners in secondary education and understand the importance of patience, creativity, and engagement at different stages of development. I tutor students of all ages and levels—from primary and high school learners to adult learners looking to refresh or improve their skills. I work with students who are looking for academic support, exam prep, homework help, or even just confidence-building in a specific subject.
