About Alyssa
I take a student-centered approach, meeting each individual where they are in their learning journey. My approach is adaptable, utilizing various teaching methods that align with the unique learning styles of each student. I understand that many students struggle with motivation and confidence in areas where they feel less competent, which is why I emphasize recognizing and utilizing the knowledge they already possess as the foundation for further learning. As an experienced educator, I design personalized lesson plans that directly cater to the specific needs of each student, ensuring a focused and effective approach. Although I specialize in freshman and sophomore English, my expertise extends across all secondary English classrooms, allowing me to offer comprehensive support for students at any level. My goal is to empower students with the tools they need to succeed and to foster a sense of confidence that will last long beyond our lessons together.
