1. Born and raised in Nanjing. I grew up reading Chinese poetry (I am really help you with古文）
2. Practices Chinese calligraphy for 8 years. ( I can write Chinese characters in 3 different fonts)
3. A good writer (I’ve published multiple articles in Chinese and participated in the writing contests)
4. Eager to learn with my students. I want to understand the language from their perspectives.

I am well read since little. I had my own literary magazine back in China, and I had won multiple writing awards over the years. I am passionate about Chinese literature and poetry and came from a family with literary standing. I want to help more students with Chinese because I think its depth and its profound history is overlooked in the states. Chinese sometimes is not taught in a manner that connects the students with the language and its culture but rather as a tool and a subject. I think in my classes, I will focus on incorporating the language as part of the daily life of the students.
