About Alexey
Nice to meet you, my name is Alexey and I am a recent graduate from the University of Warwick. I am particularly passionate about Mathematics, its precision, and ability to model useful information. As such, I hope to inspire a similar feeling for this subject when I teach.
I believe that each student is unique, and as such I approach each student on their own terms - whether that be structuring lessons in a way that enables them to learn the most, or focusing on topics which they have the most passion about. Ultimately no student is the same, and I believe that to enable them to achieve their goals, they deserve an education that accounts for them as a person.
Please let me know if you're looking for tutoring - I'll attempt to get back to you as soon as possible!

I believe that a strong education is built from the ground up, and as such my lessons tend to focus on building up the student's foundational understanding of a field, as well as their intuition on why what they learn is the way it is. My main focus during my lessons is on building a robust, grounded mind that can answer any question for a given topic from first principles, regardless of whether it fits the format of a paper.
Typically the first lesson involves figuring out what the goals of the student are - some are focused on grades for certain exams, some are more interested in a general understanding of the theory, and some need an exam preparation protocol. Additionally, not everyone has the same background, or benefits from the same approach equally - figuring out what the best process will be to achieve the student's goals is a priority.
Depending on the number of lessons, sessions may look more or less rigorous. To enable the student to improve not just in the short-term, but in the long-term, I highly encourage (although not enforce) students to engage in self-study mindfully. I find that students who engage their own curiosity tend to perform the best, and I aim to encourage that.
From a practical perspective, lessons last 60 minutes and are delivered remotely, for accessibility and convenience of the student.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
I was a tutee of his for maths and computer science for my A-levels. He was really well-prepared for my sessions and helped out when I struggled. We sat down first and discussed a long-term plan until the exams, setting schedules and relevant assignments to do before each session. He's very understanding if things do go wrong.
He was also very easy to reach via text if I needed something explained or if I needed to change a plan.
Also, a very sound person to talk to, and I hope we stay in contact even if he's not my tutor anymore.
Would really recommend!Alexey was my maths tutor and had a natural ability to explain abstract concepts that I otherwise didn't understand in class. He was incredibly patient, and had a clear strategy and planning when it came to improving my understanding of certain topics. Overall I would greatly recommend him for anyone looking to find an intelligent and friendly maths tutor.
Alexey is a reliable, intelligent, and thoughtful tutor who has great communication skills. I would particularly recommend him based on his ability to break complicated topics down in a way that is definitely tailored to each student. That skill alone makes a great tutor, but he always goes the extra mile on top of that to help with anything. I would 100% recommend.
