About Rashed

Hi, I am here because I really enjoy helping students develop their problem solving abilities and become proficient in subjects like Math, Physics and Chemistry.

After graduating UCLA with a degree in Materials Engineering, tutoring over 100 students and later starting and building a company I realized something about how people learn best.
People learn best when they are put in a safe environment to practice repeatedly and fail. My goal as a tutor is to serve as a guide to help you think through and practice problems so when the exam comes you are prepared to face any problem.

I like to supplement my teaching with short crash courses to help you refine your understanding of the subject matter relying on pictures, graphs and drawings.

As a high school student, I took over 15 AP Courses and have developed strong techniques on how to best prepare for these exams.

About the lesson

I believe that the best way to learn is to do. I like to teach by setting the student up with exercises and walking them through techniques and methods of how to solve them. I also focus on how the student thinks through the problem rather than getting the actual solution. Typically, that starts with asking the right questions which I like to encourage.

Aside from exercise and encouraging questions, I rely on drawings, pictures and images to help explain certain concepts.
