About Alessandra
I graduated in 2020 and I work as an executive in a technology company. I used to make my money and volunteer as a tutor and coach for kids aged 11-14. I have experience tutoring ages outside of this range though. I love teaching because it allows me to help other people achieve their potential. Tutoring is something I enjoy most as it creates a more vulnerable space where the student does not need to feel ashamed or nervous about asking questions. It allows them to fully be there for the sole purpose of learning what they believe they struggle with.

My personal approach to teaching is dependent fully on the student. How I like to go about things is doing what works best for them. A lot of the time with math, it is them not understanding the concept... So they are unable to understand problems using that concept. How I like to go about teaching the fundamentals and the concepts is relating it to something they do understand or like in the real world so they do not see it as something to study and memorise but it gets imprinted in their brains.
