About Lon

I have experience teaching elementary students in a Christian school as the main teacher for one year for grades 3-4.. I also have experience teaching high school students in a Christian school for two years in my major subject in college, biology. I also served in a Christian school of elementary and high school students as a teaching principal. I taught a couple of high school subjects (biology and english). While serving as a pastor for twelve years, I served as a substitute teacher in high school in several different classes. When I attended Talbot Theological Seminary for five years, I taught a college class of biology labs at Biola College and also served as a campus patrolman with the Talbot Police Force for my seminary years. I also served as a Youth Director of a church during my last year of seminary. When I attended Fresno State College (now the University of California at Fresno), my major was education: general secondary biology. I prepared to teach high school biology, but though I have had the opportunity to do so for two years, I changed my course to attend Talbot Theological Seminary, aiming at the Master of Divinity degree as a pastor. I have taught adults in my current church since 2007 in Elementary Greek, Theology, and Bible Books. I serve as an elder of our church: have preached several times, have taught grades 3-5 Sunday school many years, and have taught junior high and high school Sunday school a few years, too. I am the president of our Bible Institute where I also am a professor as indicated earlier in this paragraph.

About the lesson

My teaching method is to meet the needs of my students. I can teach ESL for jr. high school students or high school students or adults. As a pastor, I taught elementary and high school students in private schools. I've been teaching adults Bible study classes since 2007. My students have shown me that they love my teaching by giving me money gifts at the end of each quarter of a class. I have books to help me teach ESL students and I have exercises to give my students. I am ready and equipped to teach ESL, teaching the features of English with exercises for the students, then simple sentences will be considered to more complex ones. I will also use audio in teaching students.

My method is to teach concepts of English suitable to junior highs and high schoolers and adults and provide written exercises for students to show what they have learned. When students do well, I commend them. When they have difficulties, I encourage them and advise them how to overcome them.
