Whether you try my classes or not, try these actions in your practice:
1. Listen A LOT! Metaphorically soak your brain in that new language you try to learn.
2. Before you get into details of vocab and grammar, try to get the “meaning” of the whole message first.
3. Focus on the core. Learn the most high-frequency words needed first. The “504 Essential Words” book is a great source.
4. Start mixing verbs, nouns, and adjectives. When you got better in making acceptable sentences try to use the accurate collocations.
5. Get a language-parent. Have you noticed the relationship that a child has with their parents? a partner who can provide you the parent-child relationship in a way that the parent gets you, repeats the correct version for you, and speaks by the words you know so that you gain enough confidence for mixing up new sentences.
6. Copy the face of a native speaker to understand how they pronounce words.
7. Stop listening to me and other teachers and start making your own “direct connect” to mental images! :D Meaning you should make up connections between words and sentence structures in that foreign language and your mother-tongue language, even though it’s only meaningful to you. That solidifies your knowledge forever.
Stick to these magical principals and you are able to acquire a completely new language in 6 months! Inspired by Chris Lonsdale, I gathered this summation for you.
If you are still searching for a mentor or a language-parent for your English I am happy to guide you with it.

A great tutor! Lili was my TA at UofW. She gave these cool practical examples as support to what she was explaining at the time. And I loved it! I found it very helpful for being motivated during exams :D
The python classes are fun! She's super dynamic. I like how she doesn't have a fixed syllabus for everyone. It feels like every session is designed specifically for you because of what you've discussed to that point! One of my friends is going to start classes with her too.
I've only needed 5 sessions to learn all the stuff I needed for my project. Lili's very encouraging and experienced. I'd definitely recommend her! I'm on the right track for now, but if I need any Python sessions in the future, I'll get back to her for sure.
Lili is really patient! Her knowledge is good and her classes are kinda fun. I was so shy for not getting something and she genuinely walked me through it a million times without making me feel bad for it. Definitely recommend her!
