About Stephanie
Hi, my name is Stephanie and I am a psychology graduate currently pursuing my master’s degree in social work. I am passionate about helping students feel more confident, capable, and supported in their learning. I understand that school can sometimes feel stressful or overwhelming, and I believe having the right tutor can make a big difference.
I have experience working with children, teens, families, and college students through my background in foster care, adoption services, and family support. These experiences have strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and learning styles.
I specialize in psychology, social work, writing, study skills, and general academic support, but I can also help with basic school subjects. I enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into simple steps and helping students build confidence in themselves. My goal is always to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn.
I am reliable, organized, and committed to helping students reach their goals both inside and outside of the classroom.

I am a psychology graduate student currently pursuing my master’s degree in social work, and I enjoy helping students feel more confident in subjects that may seem overwhelming at first.
My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and personalized because I know every student learns differently. I focus on creating a comfortable environment where students feel safe asking questions and working through challenges without feeling judged.
I can help with psychology, social work, human development, English, writing, study skills, and other basic school subjects. My lessons are great for middle school, high school, college, and undergraduate students who may need extra support with understanding material, preparing for exams, writing papers, or staying organized.
A typical lesson starts with identifying what the student is struggling with most. From there, I break down the material into simple, manageable steps and explain concepts in a way that is easy to understand. I like to use examples, practice questions, discussion, and visual aids to help students remember information. I also help students build better study habits, time management skills, and confidence in their own abilities.
What sets me apart is that I combine academic knowledge with real-world experience. I have a background in psychology and experience working with families in foster care and adoption services, which has strengthened my communication, patience, and ability to support different learning needs. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them feel more capable and confident moving forward.
