About Steven
I am a graduate student studying Biology at California State University Fullerton. I have been tutoring off and on since my senior year of high school. I have a passion for the sciences and mathematics. Students I have tutored have gone on to transfer to colleges such as UCI and UCSD.

My teaching methodology is three-fold.
1. I always make sure students are on the same page as me. Often, I feel like educators push a class toward the goal of finishing a subject rather than striving for understanding, and that often leaves students in the dust. I always make sure to ask if students understand what I'm talking about and whether or not they need more help.
2. I know learning a subject can be pretty daunting, and as such, I am always prepared to reword explanations or give real life examples as a way to make sure students can accurately understand the information I am providing them.
3. Last, but certainly not least, I strive to be a welcoming individual. Nothing is more difficult than trying to learn from someone who is anchored to their lofty position and refuses to come down to your level. As a rather young person, I seek to break that barrier. In my eyes, individuals learn better from their peers. While I may be teaching you something new, I don't want you to hesitate to ask me questions. My priority is to help you achieve, not to show you how smart or correct I am.
