As a graduate student with over 10 years of experience in teaching and performing the violin, I offer private lessons in both Suzuki methodology and my own personalized methods.

About Selin
I hold a Master's degree in violin performance, and have been playing as a tutti violinist with several professional symphony orchestras since 2012. In addition to my professional performances, I also conduct studio lessons for students of all ages. My teaching approach is centered around understanding my students' individual needs and goals, and working collaboratively to find solutions to difficult sections in a piece. I prioritize both the enjoyment of playing and achieving high-quality performance in my lessons. I believe that music is a creative and dynamic art form, and strive to foster an environment of curiosity and exploration in my students. Overall, my goal as a violin teacher is to inspire my students to become confident, well-rounded musicians who are capable of expressing themselves through their playing.

I believe in creating a personalized teaching program for each of my students, as every individual has their own unique learning style and goals. I provide a range of materials for my lessons, including music notes and recordings, and I draw inspiration from a variety of teaching methodologies, including the Suzuki method or beginner improvisation skills.
While my lessons primarily focus on Western classical music, I am happy to work with students who want to play the violin for fun or professionally. Whether my students are beginners or advanced players, my goal is to help them develop a strong technical foundation and musical expression, as well as instilling a lifelong love of music.
With over 7 years of experience as a lecturer, I have a track record of preparing successful and hardworking students for professional exams, auditions, and competitions. I believe in providing a supportive and encouraging learning environment, while also challenging my students to achieve their full potential. Because of the limitations of online lessons, I only accept students who previously took violin lessons and manage their violin techniques.
