About Jakub
I am a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in Jazz Guitar Performance. I’ve been performing for over 10 years and have several years of experience working as a professional musician, both playing jazz, original music and doing commercial gigs, working as a session musician. I’m interested in various genres and have experience playing different style from straight-ahead jazz to pop and everything in between. Currently I’m working on my own jazz project but my playing has always been strongly rooted in blues, funk and rock music. I’m excited about sharing my passion and interested in finding the right approach for the individual student, whether the goal is to simply enjoy playing the guitar or there are greater aspirations for a career in music!

My approach to teaching is flexible and I’m focused on tailoring to the needs of the individual student. Lessons are suitable for all ability levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. During our lessons we’ll focus on: -Improving your musicality -Technique -Music Theory -Improvisation -Repertoire I can also cover topics like: Advanced Jazz Improvisation, Music Theory, Harmony and the basics of Sight Reading. I’m offering both online and in-person lessons on electric and acoustic guitar. As an experienced player in many genres, I can teach different styles including: -Jazz -Funk -Pop -Rock -Latin -Neo Soul -Blues -Country -Folk I’m excited to share my knowledge and experience gained working as a professional musician both on stage and in the recording studio!
