About Arno
I am Arno, a Mathematics graduate from the University of Toronto and currently a math teacher at an international school in Toronto, with 5 years of teaching experience. I specialize in teaching elementary, middle, and high school mathematics within the Ontario Curriculum, and I am also familiar with international programs such as IB and AP.
My teaching focuses on building true mathematical understanding rather than rote memorization. I design personalized learning plans based on each student’s level and goals, covering concept clarification, problem-solving strategies, and exam techniques. For students with weaker foundations, I help systematically close knowledge gaps; for high-achieving students, I focus on advanced problem-solving and performance improvement.
My students typically see clear grade improvements in the short term while developing long-term confidence and independent learning skills. I am known for being patient, clear, and structured in my teaching, guiding students from understanding concepts to applying them effectively.
My goal is to help students not only improve their grades, but also build a solid and lasting foundation in mathematics.
