About Paige

I built a lot of great relationships with teachers in high school, college professors, and law professors due to my work ethic and inquisitive nature. I enjoy the process of learning, I believe "the more you know, the less you know." This quote rings true to me because there is so much to learn in academia and the world, and once you start gaining knowledge there is so much more to gain.

I have been an intern for DCBS in Kentucky , research assistant at an R1 university, involved in mock trial, moot court honor council candidate, finalist for a law school writing/speaking competition, and law clerk for a law firm. I am a published author in an academic journal for research study on intimate partner violence in the workplace, and I contributed to other research projects for eventual publication. In addition, I've made the Dean's List five semesters during my undergraduate education and one semester in law school. I've also received multiple scholarships for undergraduate and graduate programs.

About the lesson

Before making my lesson plan, I will see where my students are at and what their goals are. Then I will make a plan that (1) teaches the material, (2) uses repetition to practice, and (3) tests the mastery of the material. I can teach pre-k, elementary, middle school, high school, or college undergraduates. I have experience working with young kids as a counselor and intern. I also think being tutored as a middle schooler+ is GREAT! - I utilized a tutoring service when I was struggling in chemistry in high school and it made all the difference for me. This tutoring experience gave me tools and strategies I'd like to pass on to my students. Also, during college and law school, I learned a lot about best testing strategies and strategies for learning a lot of material.

Learning can be fun and we learn throughout our entire lives, so its best to approach it with a good attitude and be efficient early!
