About Jamsel Glen
Hello~!
My name is Mr. Jam! I've been a music teacher for 10 years, and I've taught in both the Philippines and the US.
I teach musicianship along with my violin lessons, so you'll learn more than just the violin.
I've taught students from Kinder to Grade 12, and I even had adult students too!
I make sure my students don't just understand music, but really enjoy it.

I start with a 30-min introductory assessment for new students.
This allows me to:
- Meet and get to know the student
- Discuss musical interests and goals
- Check the student’s violin and instrument size
- Observe basic rhythm, listening, coordination, and musical readiness
- Assess previous violin experience, if applicable
- Recommend an appropriate lesson length and schedule
My target students are Grades 1-12.
I prefer teaching Face-to-Face, and students should own a violin.
Lessons will involve Violin and Musicianship:
- Proper violin and bow hold
- Violin technique and coordination
- Rhythm and steady beat
- Ear training and pitch awareness
- Music reading
- Singing and listening activities
- Musical expression
- Age-appropriate games and movement activities
- Performance skills and confidence
