About Helen
I am a dedicated biomathematics student and experienced tutor passionate about helping students succeed in math, chemistry, and college preparation. I simplify difficult concepts, adapt to different learning styles, and create a supportive environment where students can build confidence and improve academically. My goal is not only to help students earn better grades, but also to develop strong study habits, critical thinking skills, and long-term confidence in learning.

Students should take math, chemistry, and college prep lessons with me because I understand both the academic side and the student side of learning. As a biomathematics student with extensive experience in science and research, I know how to break down difficult concepts into simple, understandable steps instead of just memorization.
I specialize in helping students:
* Build confidence in subjects they once struggled with
* Improve grades and test performance
* Develop strong study habits and problem-solving skills
* Prepare for college-level coursework and competitive exams
* Learn how to think critically rather than just memorize information
What makes my teaching different is that I focus on patience, encouragement, and adapting lessons to each student’s learning style. I know that every student learns differently, and I create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while growing academically.
Beyond academics, I also mentor students in discipline, mindset, time management, and goal setting, skills that are essential for long-term success in college and beyond.
With my background in mathematics, chemistry, genetics, research, tutoring, fitness, and leadership, I bring both real-world experience and strong communication skills into every session. My goal is not only to help students pass a class, but to help them become confident and independent learners.
