I also heavily integrate the Case Method, using real-life business scenarios, data-driven examples, and role-playing exercises (such as practicing corporate presentations or mock client calls) to ensure my students don't just memorize the material, but thoroughly understand how to apply it.
A typical lesson plan
"I structure my sessions using a highly organized, 4-part framework designed to maximize engagement and retention within a 60-minute window:
• The Warm-Up & Alignment (5-10 mins): We review the previous session's core concepts, address any lingering questions, and explicitly define the target goals for the day's lesson.
• Core Concept Breakdown (20 mins): I introduce the new topic using interactive, visual aids and clear, concise language, stripping away unnecessary jargon to focus on core principles.
• Guided Practical Application (20 mins): We solve a problem, analyze a business case study, or run through an interactive communication exercise together. This is a collaborative space where students can safely make mistakes and receive immediate feedback.
• Actionable Wrap-Up & Goal Setting (10 mins): The student summarizes the day’s key takeaways in their own words. We establish light, practical action items to bridge the gap until our next session."
