About Asha
Hi! Here is a little about me: I recently graduated from Cornell University where I studied economics and government. I've lived in Denver most of my life and graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 2019. After the summer I will be moving to Washington DC where I will be doing economic research. I love school and learning and have been tutoring since high school. I have tutored younger students in English, math, and science, as well as college students in Economics. I have also provided SAT/ACT prep and tutored/edited college essays. I received a perfect score on the Math SAT (1540 overall) and a 35 on the ACT. I recently performed in the 98th percentile on the GRE so I am refreshed on standardized test material.

As a recent college grad, I know exactly what being a student. I remember being frustrated by chemistry in high school, stressing over the SATs, and most recently, studying for the GRE. I also know that everyone learns in different ways and at different paces. While I have developed a general structure for how I tutor throughout the years, I want to stress my commitment to being flexible and customizing my teaching style to best fit your needs. Making a detailed study guide works for some. For others, talking through material out loud or repeating a new skill via practice problems helps solidify their learning. I make sure my lesson plans include all three to start and will adjust as needed. I have experience tutoring elementary through high school students in most subjects. I also tutor for the SATs and ACTs.
