The essential thing is to bring the student closer to formal knowledge through references that he masters, so the use of films, songs, poems, documentaries, newspaper news are very important to generate student engagement. My class has an expository part, making use of PowerPoint presentations, followed by an analysis of a type of source mentioned above, eventually we can do a joint analysis on top of texts and documents. At the end of the class, I reserve for the resolution of exercises and/or clarification of student doubts about activities at school or in the cram school. I'm a demanding teacher about student engagement but I'm not rigid in the class format, always trying to adapt to the student's needs. Recommended for students from 6th to 3rd grade
