About Olivia
As a former footballer and current PE teacher, sport has always played a huge part in my life. My passion for sport and the opportunities it creates have inspired me to pursue a career in teaching, where I can share that passion and make a positive difference to young people. I want to inspire pupils to develop a lifelong love of sport and physical activity, while helping them build confidence, resilience, teamwork and a belief in their own abilities. For me, teaching PE is about much more than just sport; it's about creating an environment where every student feels motivated, supported and capable of achieving their potential, both on and off the field.

As a current PE teacher with experience delivering GCSE PE theory, I use an engaging, practical and student-centred approach to tutoring, particularly for students who are passionate about sport but may find the theory side more challenging. I create my own resources and structured revision booklets that include visual aids, diagrams, gap-fill activities and worked examples to break down complex topics and make the content easier to understand and remember. I link theoretical concepts to real-life sporting examples wherever possible, helping students relate what they are learning to sports they already enjoy and participate in. My approach focuses on building confidence, strengthening subject knowledge and developing exam technique through clear explanations, interactive tasks and regular checks for understanding, ensuring students feel supported and make meaningful progress towards their GCSE PE exams.
