About Yu-Chieh
I hold a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Birmingham, UK. Additionally, I have obtained a Diploma in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. I have extensive experience teaching Chinese to children and teenagers across various age groups. My teaching approach is highly adaptable, enabling me to develop personalised learning plans tailored to the unique backgrounds and needs of each learner. I have great patience and passion for teaching Chinese and strive to help students enjoy the learning process while improving their Chinese language skills.

I prefer using the contextual teaching method when working with learners aged six to twelve. During a one-hour lesson, I start by setting a theme to immerse the learners in a specific context, such as ordering food or being at the airport. From these scenarios, I introduce fundamental vocabulary. Following this, I incorporate the gamification method by using games that interest the learners, such as matching games, to reinforce their practice. This approach helps make the learning experience more engaging and memorable.
