About POOJA

Hi! My name is Pooja, and I’m a college student studying Computer Science with a strong background in mathematics and physics. I have several years of experience working with students and helping them build confidence in quantitative subjects.

I previously worked at Kumon as a tutor, where I helped students strengthen their math skills, review foundational concepts, and develop strong problem-solving habits. Working with students at different learning levels taught me how to break down complex topics into clear, manageable steps and adapt my teaching style to fit each student’s needs.

In addition to tutoring experience, I currently work at a wealth management firm where I assist with financial analysis and operations. This role requires strong analytical and quantitative thinking, which further strengthens my ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and logically.

As a tutor, my goal is to help students truly understand the material rather than memorize formulas. I focus on building a strong foundation in Algebra, Precalculus, and Physics while helping students develop the confidence and problem-solving skills they need to succeed in their classes.

About the lesson

My tutoring sessions are personalized to match each student’s class, learning style, and goals. Before our sessions, I review the student’s current topics and prepare notes and practice problems that directly align with what they are learning in school.

I focus on building a strong understanding of concepts rather than memorization, helping students feel confident solving problems on their own. During lessons, we work through examples step-by-step, review homework or study guides, and practice similar problems to reinforce the material.

I am happy to adapt my teaching methods depending on what works best for the student. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for a test, or strengthening their math and physics foundation, I tailor each lesson to support their specific class and learning needs.
