About Alelea

To my students,

I want to speak to you directly about the standard I hold myself to in this classroom.

My professionalism is my promise to you. It means you can count on three things from me every single day:

I will be prepared and present. Your time matters. I come to class having done the work - lessons planned, materials ready, and goals clear - so that every minute we spend together moves you forward. When I am with you, I am fully with you.

I will be fair, consistent, and respectful. You will be graded on your work, not on my mood. You will be held to high standards because I believe you can meet them. And you will always be treated with dignity. I keep appropriate boundaries not to create distance, but to create a safe, focused space where everyone can learn.

I will keep growing. Professionalism is not about knowing everything, it is about never stopping learning. I continue to train, to reflect on my teaching, and to correct myself when I fall short. If I make a mistake, I will own it and fix it. That is what I ask of you, and it is what you should expect from me.

I am here because I chose this profession and I take that choice seriously. My job is not just to teach you content, but to model reliability, integrity, and respect for the work.

You can be confident that I am on your side and working for your success. Come prepared, hold me to this standard, and let's do excellent work together.
