About Blossom 'in' Tuition
I am a Grammar school science teacher. I have been tutoring/teaching for 4 years now. I have a BSc (Hons) in Medical Genetics from Queen Mary University of London, after which I gained my PGCE in Secondary Science (age range 11-19) from the Institute of Education (UCL).

I ensure that my teaching approach is firm but fair. I plan my lessons based on the National Curriculum/Exam board specification. I ensure that my lessons incorporate exam questions, as I strongly believe in practice makes perfect. However, I also take care in ensuring that my students understand the scientific concepts. Having trained at UCL, I am a huge fan of active learning and student-led learning; it is the teacher's job to provide the knowledge and guide students, whilst the student's job is to ask questions and consolidate their learning, whilst not being afraid to make mistakes.
