About Gavin

My name is Gavin, and I am currently in college pursuing a degree in Graphic Design. As a graphic designer, I have to use math often when creating ads, posters, or websites for assignments. I am here as a tool for you to use to get a grasp of the subject or topic you are struggling in. It is okay not to have the answers to everything; shoot, I don't know everything either. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Together we can learn new material and grow in becoming more efficient in Algebra and Geometry.

If you feel that you do not understand the material, that is okay! As your tutor, my number one goal is to make sure you succeed and understand this material. We will focus on one thing at a time until you are confident in your ability to solve the problem yourself. I am patient and understanding of your needs, and together we will reach our goal one step at a time.

About the lesson

I am not your typical tutor. I will not have any ready-made lesson plans for your student(s). If your student is struggling with this subject in school, it is because the "lesson plan" is not working. As a tutor, I plan to personalize your child's education and focus on what it is they are having trouble with, to make sure that they really understand the material, at a pace they are comfortable with. As we know, math is constantly changing, and I won't know the answer to everything. Tutoring is meant to be a learning experience for both the instructor and student. Together we will learn new material and strive for success by taking the time to understand it. One step at a time.
