About Markella
I primarily employ the Direct (Natural) Method, which prioritizes active student engagement through speaking and listening in authentic, everyday contexts. This approach facilitates the gradual and natural acquisition of grammatical structures and vocabulary. I design and deliver individualized Greek language instruction for English-speaking learners in multicultural environments. My practice is grounded in student-centered and interactive pedagogical techniques, aimed at strengthening both oral and written communication skills. I develop and provide customized educational materials—including structured notes, targeted exercises, and supplementary resources—to address the unique needs of each learner. Additionally, I incorporate elements of Greek history, literature, and culture, fostering a comprehensive linguistic and cultural understanding. Throughout the instructional process, I systematically monitor and evaluate student progress, with particular emphasis on continuous development and confidence building. I integrate contemporary digital tools to enhance the learning experience and promote critical thinking and creative expression within the language-learning framework.
