About Γιάννης
Γειά σου! My name is Yiannis, I am a native Greek speaker, BSc Psychologist (BPS accredited), and active postgraduate student at the University of East London MSc program in Clinical & Community Psychology.
Born and raised with the Greek language, I possess a deep, innate understanding of its conversational flow, everyday idioms, and cultural nuances that textbooks often miss.
What motivates me to teach is the joy of sharing my native language and helping students break through the fear of speaking. I can help you with your pronunciation, build a practical vocabulary, and speak Greek confidently and naturally.
At the same time, my ongoing journey through the rigorous UK academic system drives me to mentor fellow psychology students. I know firsthand the stress of university deadlines and APA formatting. I am not a detached academic; I use my own active experience and empathy to guide you through your studies, help you structure your assignments, and plan your postgraduate career.

My teaching approach is deeply informed by my background in Psychology (BSc and current MSc student). I believe the best learning happens in a stress-free, empathetic environment.
For Greek lessons, my approach is to actively eliminate "language anxiety." A typical lesson is highly conversational, focusing on practical vocabulary and speaking confidence at your own pace, rather than just strict grammar rules.
For Psychology students, my sessions are highly structured around your specific academic goals. A typical lesson involves breaking down complex theories, mastering APA formatting, organizing essay structures, or providing strategic postgraduate career mentoring.
