I have never actually given formal lessons, but I have taught a lot of my friends and my girlfriend lots of Greek and they have progressed significantly, due to the fact that I say words very clearly and properly.
I believe that within a few months, you'll be able to have a basic conversation with a Greek person whenever you travel to the country!

I am an undergraduate Geography student, originally from Greece and also half English, currently studying at Royal Holloway University of London. I am willing to give lessons to anyone who is a beginner to get the ball rolling.
The lessons will last for as long as you'd like, but I recommend no more than 1 hour. The lesson structures are quite relaxed, you can either tell me what you'd like to learn before the lesson and I will teach you, or if you'd prefer I will suggest a topic and give you all the vocabulary. During the lessons, I will get you to write down words and phrases in 'Greeklish' so that you can get used to speaking the language.
Since I am Greek, I understand how hard the language is, even for natives, so I am not expecting you to learn everything I say immediately. I am very friendly, you'll have a good time with me and I am very patient, so you can ask me as many questions as you'd like!
