About Cassandra

As someone who just completed matric, Afrikaans FAL is daunting for many and I can relate to the downfalls of the education system and speed in Afrikaans. I have gotten to know many learners and peers and why they found the subject daunting so I can easily relate to, understand and break down the weaknesses within a student just as I had done for many and myself. I am not a fan of lengthy lessons, so I have personally managed to effectively shorten teaching time and self study in order to accommodate to time as well.

About the lesson

In order to learn a language, fear for it stops many people from loving it. Many students fear the language because modern day teaching throws them in the deep end without proper understanding of the bare basics that a home language learner would have. I strive to cover the basics and make it fun and easy not only for self study but for teaching. I teach in English and Afrikaans, all dependant on the learner. I use make use of visual auditory learning, where students gain intuitive knowledge on what the language is instead of just learning.
