About Kaia
I have a Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance and over 5 years of experience teaching singers of all levels. I specialize in guiding adult beginners and returning singers who want to rediscover music in a relaxed and supportive space. My lessons are designed for those who love singing in community choirs, karaoke, or just at home for fun. I focus on building confidence and comfort with your voice. Through breathwork, posture alignment, and relaxation, we find ease in sound production. Mindfulness and tone awareness are part of every session. I teach in a range of genres including Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult music. Each lesson emphasizes exploration over perfection. Singing with me is about joy, healing, and creativity. I want every student to feel free to express themselves without judgment. My approach celebrates progress at every step. Let’s explore your voice together and enjoy singing simply because it feels good.

My approach to teaching singing focuses on helping you understand and shape your unique vocal sound. I believe that resonance and tone are personal, and developing them is key to great singing. Lessons include practical work on breath support, projection, and vocal relaxation. We’ll focus on tone shaping through targeted exercises that improve control and color. I guide students in mastering vocal qualities like belting, head voice, and mixed voice. My lessons are structured but flexible, allowing creativity to lead the process. I’m particularly experienced with The Soloist in Training and The Adult Beginner, and I adapt lessons to fit their goals. Together, we’ll build technique that feels natural and expressive. I prioritize comfort and vocal health while challenging you to grow. My teaching style encourages curiosity and self-awareness. I aim to make every student feel capable and confident in their sound. Singing is about connection, emotion, and self-discovery. Let’s work together to unlock your voice and reach its fullest expression.
