About Willa
Hi there! I’m a dedicated vocal tutor with more than 4 years of teaching experience and a BA in Ethnomusicology (Vocal Traditions). My joy comes from creating rich vocal harmonies, arranging layers, and shaping expressive textures for group singing and studio projects. I teach A Cappella, Pop, Gospel, and R&B, helping each singer discover their unique sound. My lessons include vocal blending, counter-melody writing, arranging skills, and creative vocal production. I work with students of all ages and skill levels, from schools to colleges to emerging performers. I’m also trained in improvisation, composition, and music history, and I enjoy integrating music technology into my approach. I believe learning music should feel exciting and meaningful. I teach singing through a method that combines vocal technique with ear training and listening skills. My lessons help singers hear notes before they sing them. This makes pitch accuracy easier. Students learn to identify intervals, follow harmony, and build strong musical memory. I support advanced teens and quartet performers with targeted training. They learn to blend, match tones, and stabilize pitch. I give constant feedback that builds confidence instead of pressure. My approach is structured, but flexible. Students can grow at their own pace. I teach healthy vocal habits and breath control to protect the voice. Each lesson has clear goals. Over time, singers learn how to stay in tune naturally.
