"Can you feel the pulse of the music? Teaching guitar involves connecting deep cultural traditions to the practical skills of songwriting and ear training.
Since I completed my BA in Music and Spanish, I have developed a style that keeps energetic learners engaged. We focus on the mechanics of your hands and the theory behind the strings.
My sessions often move from technical maintenance drills to creative songwriting exercises. We explore how bolero and chacarera rhythms inform modern blues playing. "Holding a BA in Music and Spanish, I offer a unique perspective on the fretboard. My teaching is built on 8 years of experience and the 138 students I have guided through the nuances of rhythm guitar and blues progressions.
I love translating traditions like bolero and flamenco into clear tabs or music theory lessons for self-taught players. Because of my academic background, I can bridge the gap between complex sheet music and intuitive playing styles.
Maintenance and tuning are also part of my daily routine as a musician. I am ready to help you gain clarity on your instrument. I bring a total commitment to your growth."
