"The crisp sound of a clean chord transition ringing out clearly makes for a perfect start. To ensure we move at the right speed, I perform a diagnostic skills check before building the lesson plan for you.
We focus on developing your lead guitar phrasing by listening closely to the nuances of your own playing style. My 10 years of experience allow me to break down difficult theory concepts into manageable pieces for adults and teens.
We spend time refining your ear training so that you can navigate the fretboard with genuine confidence and ease. Hobbyists often appreciate how I connect physical posture with the specific electric technique required for modern genres.
I draw on my background to help you understand how melody and harmony interact within your favourite songs. We will move through chord transitions until they feel like second nature to your fingers. "Have you ever wondered how your favourite riffs actually work? My teaching style reflects 10 years of experience helping 261 students find their sound on the fretboard. I earned a Master of Music in Vocal Studies at the Royal Academy of Music, but the guitar has been a lifelong companion for my own creative expression.
Being a retired opera singer, I naturally integrate ear training and music theory into every conversation we have about technique. Power chords and electric technique are just the beginning of what we cover together. I love seeing the lightbulb moment when a student finally masters a complex transition. It is a pleasure to share this musical journey with you."
