About Amelia
"Music provides a clarity that I aim to share. I teach because I love the mechanics of sound. During my 9 years of experience, I have worked with 226 students to refine their craft. My background involves a Bachelor of Music in Voice from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, which heavily influences how I teach phrasing and theory on the fretboard.
I focus on the structure of music to help you progress. You will find my methods are direct and highly effective. I enjoy seeing students connect with their instruments."

"Imagine the feeling of your fingers moving across the fretboard with effortless precision during a complex chord transition. My approach emphasises steady pacing and immediate feedback to build your confidence. Whether you are a hobbyist or an advanced learner, we will address power chords, fingerpicking, and strumming patterns as essential building blocks.
We spend time reading sheet music and exploring scales and modes to ensure you grasp the theory behind the electric technique. I often integrate grade exam prep for those who need a clear roadmap for their development. Sometimes we might slow down to focus on barre chords or specific finger placements until they feel natural. My 9 years of experience at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland inform the technical rigour I bring to each session.
I offer a structured environment for self-taught players who want to sharpen their skills. It is always a pleasure to support your progress from the cathedral-trained perspective I maintain."
